Last may Paco Navamuel performed the first bookjockey session ever held in Barcelona, and it was very well welcomed by assisting audience. This session was part of 2a Setmana del Fotollibre [2nd photobook week], an event created by Román Yñán (Standard Books) as a platform to organize a series of activities around present time photobook.

Luckily the people of PhotoBook Club Barcelona made this video recording the session for you to enjoy:

They also made this short one, so you can understand better how it was displayed in this case, and feel the ambient a bit:

Paco is writing his PhD on transurbancy, other interests for his researchs are the city, drifting, etc., that can be summed up with: walking as an anarchist, ethic, esthetic and thinking practice.

If you find interesting this session maybe you’ll be pleased to know Walkcelona has turn into a blog, a fanzine, and an exhibition.

Now this title name a big amount of previous photographic work Paco Navamuel has been doing in his driftings around Barcelona during seven years. But as you can see on his blog, Walkcelona is still a project that follows its own path with new pictures continuously.

The exhibition will be open until December 12th. And you can read more (in spanish) about the project here.
